Abomination of Desolation Standing in the Holy Place
Many have specified or speculated that the temple must be rebuilt before his rise. But is this so? The desolation is happening, the abomination pompously dangled before our non-anticipating eyes:
And he shall plant the tents of his palace between the seas and the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and no one will help him. (Dan 11:45)
“Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. Insisting that he must sit in the temple of God and proclaim to be God is more strict than many translations demand. The preface to his time is only that a falling away must have occurred and that he be revealed. Revealed and recognized do not share the same meaning, and biblically, revealed and unrecognized are more meaningful together! And again, both points have been satisfied. (Timing is everything!) Promoting himself above God and as if he were in the temple of God is what follows. This is also being satisfied. Perhaps that is debatable? However, before resting in assurance in the decision to dismiss his pomposity and his drive for Peace and Safety as coincidence, consider the consequence of error. Not wanting it to be does not make what is be anything other than what it already is!
