Abomination of Desolation Standing in the Holy Place
Many have specified or speculated that the temple must be rebuilt before his rise. But is this so? The desolation is happening, the abomination pompously dangled before our non-anticipating eyes:
And he shall plant the tents of his palace between the seas and the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and no one will help him. (Dan 11:45)

And Daniel 7:25: ...Then the saints shall be given into his hand For a time and times and half a time.
And Daniel 8: He even exalted himself as high as the Prince of the host; and by him the daily sacrifices were taken away, and the place of His sanctuary was cast down.
